Bound with chains,
You cannot see.
My life filled with A plethora of pain
and misery.
Deep wounds that torment me both day and night.
I cannot outrun mistakes I’ve made
Though years have passed I’m still running fast.
Millions of people Roaming the streets.
But I’m alone None to greet.
I scream, I cry But you cannot hear.
You’re in your own world
Of peaceful retreat
. I’ve tried to get Your attention!
I’ve looked you square In the face.
But you don’t see me,
I’m not on your agenda.
You keep passing me by,
Could you at least say hi?
I understand I Don’t fit in your class,
I can’t boast of being redeemed.
I barely have shoes
Much less a nice suit.
I smoke and cuss, My minds filled with lust.
I drink too much,
and I do drugs.
That’s what you need to understand.
I’m bound with chains,
Not chains you can see.
But you have the key.
You know the blood of Jesus Can set me free.
I am that lost soul You need to meet.
I stand on the corner,
I’m at the mall.
I go to your school,
I work down the hall.
I’m everywhere you go.
I’m that lost soul,
Bound with chains you cannot see.
